davimiller Love your music. Your music covers all my musical needs...from the toe tapping / finger snapping Be Careful What You Want to the heart felt and beautiful Song for Bailey. And the violins in Tunnel Vision - just awesome. Keep the music coming. Favorite track: Tunnel Vision.

carlton b jones I've been connected with this music in a personal way for some time now. It's music about life and the things that happen to people. Well done Lucky!

I’ve been around the world seen more than I bargained for Shiny cities edged with gray Perfect mountain views that draw attention from the refuse that people have just thrown away But when I see you my vision narrows just a little around the corners of my eyes I can’t look away you hold my focus so intently I feel I’m losing my disguise I walk into a church hand carved from stone with copper chisels a thousand years before today perfect mated stones I can’t imagine how they did it and then just all walk away I have seen enough but I thank you for the tunnel vision so therapeutic in its way by closing off the view; reminders of my imperfections thank you for saving me today

Goodbye 03:32
I’m here to say good-by to you Because I must be going I have thought this all completely through ‘though there’s no sure way of knowing But time is slipping away and no better time than today I don’t want to say this is the end But a colder wind is turning If it helps, you could remain my friend But our bridge will still be burning ‘cause time is slipping away And no better time than today Chorus: Take one long last look at me And hold yourself together That part of us will always be a part of me forever I could turn around and see you now But that would be showing That I’m thinking this is wrong, somehow And I don’t want you knowing That my leaving here is for you And it’s the hardest thing I’ll ever do

Gone Fast 03:56
Doesn’t seem thirty years ago we packed up the car and hit the road we got together thinking this will never last haven’t those thirty years gone fast? Riding the Arizona sun home by the fire when day is done living our lives and telling the world to kiss our ass haven’t those thirty years gone fast? And now that we’re older we don’t run quite so hard we still ride that old Harley Panhead and we dig in the yard we’re here at the future; remember the past haven’t those thirty years gone fast? I think I should thank you every day for sharing your life with me this way we sure proved them wrong when they said it wouldn’t last haven’t those thirty years gone fast? We sure proved them wrong when they said it wouldn’t last haven’t those thirty years gone fast.

I walked on down by the riverside Just like we used to do And at that spot where it gets so wide I sat and thought of you I watched the ducks on the water I saw a heron taking flight I got some stickers in my elbow And something in my eye And there you were- someplace else I wandered along by the cattails Heard a red winged blackbird sing Watched a red-tail hawk ride a cloud sail Aware of just one thing I Imagined for a moment I couldn’t feel the pain I felt my arms around you… but you slipped away again The sun was slowly leaving A coolness in the air I closed my eyes waited For an answer to a prayer I felt like you were listening To everything I had to say I didn’t hear your answer But I knew, anyway And there you were…. Someplace else

When I first met you, you were barely pushing seventeen I swear you coulda been a twenty year old beauty queen You were the cutest thing I think that I had ever seen I could have been arrested for the visions in my daydream be careful what you want I fell in love with you before I even knew ya my friends all told me that they could see right through ya I was so blinded that I gave all I had to you you’re still not old enough that I can even sue you be careful what you want Be careful what you wish for; you might just get it Be careful what you wish for; just be ready Be careful what you wish for; you might regret it Be careful what you wish for; DON’T FORGET IT I don’t know what you’d call it if it isn’t cheating I listened to your stories and I just stopped believing I’ve never been a quitter; but I don’t mind conceding I’m gonna walk away, since neither one of us is bleeding Be careful what you want Be careful what you wish for; you might just get it Be careful what you wish for; just be ready Be careful what you wish for; you might regret it Be careful what you wish for; DON’T FORGET IT I haven’t seen you Baby since that night in question but if I ever do I’d like to make a small suggestion: One too many lovers equals sexual congestion but seeing you again would bring a bout of indigestion be careful what you want Be careful what you wish for; you might just get it Be careful what you wish for; just be ready Be careful what you wish for; you might regret it Be careful what you wish for; THERE, I’VE SAID IT

When I’m on this road I don’t care where I’m going When I’m on this road it doesn’t matter where I’ve been When I’m on this road there’s no way of knowing If I’ll come back again When I’m on this road I don’t have any worries When I’m on this road nobody cares When I’m on this road I’m never in a hurry To get to anywhere This road is always winding This road is always rough This road is cracked and cuts me like a knife This road and I are open But never quite enough This road is like a picture of my life This road is always winding This road is always rough This road is cracked and cuts me like a knife This road and I are open But never quite enough This road is like a picture of my life When I’m on this road there is no tomorrow When I’m on this road there’s only right now And on this road….as the going gets narrow I’ll be the first to know I’ll be the first to know I’ll be the first to know When I get home

Well I’m going down to the river gonna take my fishing line cause my baby’s down by the river she’s been waiting for some time We’re gonna sit beside each other and watch the water roll by with my baby down by the river everything’s gonna be just fine Well the sun’s gonna keep on shining and I might just get a bite If I don’t, I won’t be minding cause we’re staying here all night We’re gonna lay beside each other watch the stars up in the sky with my baby down by the river everything’s gonna be just fine Well, it’s morning ; I’ve lit a fire and some fish are gonna fry and my baby’s almost sleeping but she’s opened up her eyes It’s gonna be a good day I can see it in her smile with my baby down by the river everything’s gonna be just fine It’s gonna be a good day I can see it in her smile with my baby down by the river everything’s gonna be just fine

Just Pretend 04:26
Why are you leaving Where will you go Until this moment I didn’t know How could you keep those Secrets from me How could you do that How do you sleep I used to say ‘let’s work it out if we can’ And if we can’t work it out let’s just be friends But now, you’ve gone to far to make amends Looks like everything will work out just pretend You made me a promise Your fingers were crossed Someday you’ll find out How much it cost I’ll give you your ring back You can keep mine I’m not gonna need it It would only remind me that I used to say ‘let’s work it out if we can’ And if we can’t work it out let’s just be friends But now, you’ve gone to far to make amends Looks like everything will work out just pretend Why are you leaving Where will you go Until this moment I didn’t know

She said I’m going back to Tulsa I said you always liked the heat She said I never should have come here And for the first time ever, we agreed I said you’ll find another boyfriend… She said “I already have”. “He says he’s gonna leave RoseMary… She thinks it’s cute ‘cause it reminds her of her dad I said that Tulsa is a long way If you’re goin’ better get on down the line A lot can happen if you let it But you just go away and I’ll go mine She got an email from her boyfriend He told her wait until July RoseMary’s giving him a Harley That makes it kind of hard to say goodbye I know that Tulsa is a long way Too hot for me and much too dry So I will never going to Tulsa I can’t think of a single reason why I guess she made it down to Tulsa I never heard from her again RoseMary took back that new Harley And now she wants to be my Facebook friend I know that Tulsa’s getting closer I’m out about two hundred miles We’ll ride that Harley in the sunshine And I can’t wait to see RoseMary smile You hear a lot about karma Well karma’s always been my friend You might think you’re getting over But karma’s gonna win in the end

about

OK, Kids, The following is just a collection of “Human Predicaments and Experiences” that range from camping out all night (DOWN TO THE RIVER) to the realization that one’s lover is leaving without any warning (JUST PRETEND) to a humorous look at a “May/November” affair that didn’t work out (no surprise there- BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WANT), to a song for a Best Friend who’s gone and isn’t ever coming back (SONG FOR BAILEY). Oh, and a look into the life of someone who cheats and gets their dose of karma in the rollicking “GOIN’ BACK TO TULSA”; to the title song, (TUNNEL VISION) which supplies a nice package of imagery for you to build your own story around. These songs were written for me to enjoy, but c’mon into our living room and crank it up. You might find yourself tapping your feet and thinking, “I coulda written that!”. And you should have. Thanks for reading; now sit a minute and listen to some simple, uncomplicated stories that might just make you smile... or cry. And don’t forget to leave a nice review! There’s good karma in nice reviews!!

Warm Regards,
Lucky Thorn

about

Lucky Thorn Asheville, North Carolina

Raised in the midwest
Blown south by the wind
Lived; got older;
Discovered music again

Two old friends reconnected
As back in the day
"Let's have a reunion"
Someone would say

The reunion, as such
Didn't pan out
But there's no sadness here
Of that, there's no doubt

There's no fancy showcase
Or any display
And with this announcement,
We'll shut up and play
